Looking to show my Australian Shepherd - Page 1

Does anyone have any tips? I'm currently browsing all kinds of guides about grooming and free stacking. My dog is considered show quality and does not have any faults according to the breed standard.

No response, Fervious ?   Not many Aussie owners

post here.  None too many Show exhibitors of any of

the better-represented breeds on PDB, either.

Let's  try to help a little, at least.   With all Showdogs,

the things you are reading up on - grooming, stance -

are of course very important, if your dog is to be seen

and judged looking its best.   But ring deportment is

also important;  have you trained the dog to behave

well and calmly in the Showring ?  Can the Judge touch

it / examine its teeth easily, etc ?

Have you done any Ringcraft classes, which would help

more with the above than just reading in isolation can ?

Can't discuss the hows and wheres of getting entered in

appropriate Shows, as you haven't said which country

you are based in.  I may be able to help further if that is

the UK - if not, hope someone else pops up now I've

stopped your post slipping off the page for a while !
