I am also looking for a software that can generate pedigree report and mating check. Can kept tract all the acitivity (including the progeny) of each dog in my kennel.

You can use WinSIS X to do this. It also gives you access to a database with dogs entered in major events and you can simulate breedings. It also has functions for pictures, galleries, and videos. You can also trace male and female lines with the click of a button (ok, two). There are comments sections, breedings done, owner, breeder, etc etc. And you'd have it available should this online Dbase went down again. http://www.winsis-x-usa.com/

For keeping track of breeding records and puppy buyer info, etc, you may want to try a project management software. There are some free ones out there.
