That was the biggest and best Regional show I've seen. Even despite the rain on Saturday. Some of the best quality GSDs I've seen in a long time. The spirit of sportsmanship was great. Even after the show the teams all helped dig everyone out of the mud. Way to go Fairfax club!

wow that sounds like a really great show. Trusuprise how many regionals have you been too? What was the number of entries for this show? Have you evre been to North Carolina or Kentucky Regionals? What was the percentage of show dogs vs working dogs in the classes? Who handled the winning male and who handled the winning female? Just trying to put together some numbers about the most popular shows and who attends. Thank you for sharing any information that you may have on this Regional.

The club did a great job putting it together. It was a wet success. Entries were about one and a half times what I typically see. I see 60 as average. Across the Mid Eastern area some of the other more attended shows are Statesville, Franklin KY, Pittsburgh. Reno had a decent turnout, Austin had a decent turnout. Show dog and working dog turnout depends a lot on the judge and what type of club is having the show. Handlers are important, not quite as much at the local levels as it's the place for all to learn.
