Lol-when my GSDs give a big streeeetch which makes them look very extreme in their conformation build, we always laugh and say, "Yeah-show us how the American Shepherd look-you got it!"

My black boy Kohle will actually make tons of racket with stainless steel bowls-he picks up one and will bing-bang-bong with it until he finally places it perfectly into another bowl of the same make/size-then he's done and he's proud of his achievement-he leaves them alone. Then I go separate them, and it's back for an hour or two of binging noises as he works to once again put one inside the other. Of course, he dumps them both first, too. Lol.

One of my dogs is OCD when it comes to trees. Sticks have always been her favorite toy. On a hiking trip when she was about a year old, the light bulb went off that trees were giant sticks that fought back, and, well, it was all downhill from there. I'll post some pics of it, pretty hilarious. I had a youtube video of her doing it until some moron made some asinine remarks about my dog abusing nature or some garbage.

My boy blows air bubbles in his water dish every time he drinks. He puts his entire muzzle under and exhales through his nose, then bites at the resulting bubbles. Quite funny to watch, but mopping up miniature lakes from the kitchen floor is getting somewhat annoying...

Recon likes to chew my thumbnail.  He's never actually mangled it at all; he just nibbles and grooms it with his front teeth.  He can go at it for half an hour.  It seems to soothe him...I let him do it when he has to hold still for toenail clippings, vet exams, etc.

My old dog, Onyx, used to search out, dig and pull up Morning Glories. He also sniffed out and ate Tomato Horn Worms. Very handy in the garden... till he found the sugar baby watermelons one day.

Mine also carries his dish around the house.....funny because it's almost as big as he is lol.  And he tends to attack brooms if he sees me sweeping and then he drags it off to the room so proud of himself.  He also tends to talk back when I tell him "phooey" sp? as if I'm not suppose to tell him what to do. Gotta love his attitude.

If I'm outside working on something with tools and lay them down, my female Askia will pick up the tools behind my back and take off with them. She will have a big smile on her face while she is doing it too. Her sister Anka will come into the house and sprawl out and take over the whole couch, sometimes she will do a little dig in it too. Her mother use to do this as well. Her mother passed away before she could ever show her this. Anka does many things that her mother use to do. It reminds me sooo much of her mother.

My four year old sleeps on her back sometimes.  She loves the landing on our staircase and cuddles up in the corner on her back with all four paws in the air and sleeps!  Quite funny to see a grown dog sleep like that.  My two year old can not sleep unless she has a toy in her mouth (preferably the red kong).  My puppy is the poop finder (not a habit, but just an odd way of  "working".   I was picking up the yard (5 acres which is underground fenced) on which the dogs are often free to run, and the puppy was out with me.  She noticed what I was doing and started pointing them out to me.  We get the job done a lot quicker now, and she can exercise her brain a little too!  "Find the poops"!
