Has anyone ever used products with ingredients such as aloe vera extract and neem for dogs? I have come such products (dog shampoo, coat polisher, etc) but I am unsure about their effectiveness. Any past experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks GSD lovers...

Actually, Neem oil is a great thing for natural flea and tick repellent. We make a spray from it and some lavender, chamomille and orange oil..works great for repelling all kinds of bugs.

I don't bathe my dogs at all during the winter months. But in the Summer they get a mild dog shampoo with Aloe Vera. And for myself, I use Aloe Vera shampoo throughout the year and shampoo at least 2Xday without any skin irritations or "dandruff". So for what this is worth, it is proven to be an all rounder.

Neem is very very effective against fleas, ticks and mites. I use neem based dusting powder once every fortnight and it is a long time i have seen external parasites on my dogs

I had a resque female, that was is such bad shape, there was thought of just putting her down...so I switched her over to the BARF diet and started giving her Aloe Vera juice, this is for people, and it cleared up all her smell, and boy did she smell, and she just started feeling better, ect...she turned into a very nice dog with a great coat, no alergies ect and she had them bad....but it could have just been the change to the BARF diet, who knows, I have used it on alot of my dogs and feel it does help them improve when they have problems with something.
