Description
Rosehall Kennel breeds AKC German Shepherd Dogs for calm temperament, large size, old fashioned blocky conformation, and good health. Our dogs have straight backs, broad shoulders and hips, and deep chests. Our females weigh 80-115 pounds and our males weigh 100-140 pounds. They are friendly, quick learners and settle into family or work environments well.
We have standard coats, plush coats and long coats. We have black and tans, black and reds, black and silvers, tan sables, red sables, golden sables, silver sables, creams and whites. Great variety, lots of good choices.
About 1/3 of our puppies go to families with young children. About 1/3 of our puppies go to recently retired couples or individuals. The other third are working with law enforcement/public service, as therepy dogs and as hearing assist service dogs. The pups always impress their new owner's vet staff and puppy training classes and often graduate in the top of their class.
We are located out in the country and all our dogs (and the pups when they get old enough) get lots of daily outdoor exercise time in large, safe, fenced play areas. Our dogs are our family and they all get individual attention every day and even 'inside time' with 'their people'.
We use only high quality feeds and carefully customize the dogs' daily diets for their circumstances. A dog is fed differently when growing, preparing to breed, pregnant, nursing, weaning, or resting. We have close working relationships with three top quality vet clinics and consult with them regularly to ensure that our dogs are getting the very best in health care.
Rosehall Kennel is about 45 minutes from I-40 about half way between Knoxville and Nashville Tennessee. We are within a 12 hour drive for 75 % of the US population. Well over half our puppies are picked up by their new families from our farm. The others are usually delivered to major US airports by American Airlines Priority Parcel Service from their Nashville station. Occasionally we have been able to arrange for private courier delivery.
Prospective buyers are welcome to visit the kennel by appointment (only). We observe reasonalbe health protocol for the protection of our dogs and the puppies.
