Description
Leisa and Dave Port have owned German Shepherd Dogs for their entire life together. Their first German Shepherds were long coated dogs obtained from a local show breeder. Upon the passing of their second dog, they decided to invest in a quality German Shepherd Dog from working lines. They turned to Randy Tyson of Witmer-Tyson Imports, and obtained Britta vom Haus Tyson in 2003.
While viewing the Witmer-Tyson Imports web site one day in 2004, Dave noticed a planned breeding to Wickie von Flutgraben by Falk von den Wolfen. Falk is a high scoring, top producing stud in Germany; Wickie has had many high scores in Schutzhund trials, with a 100-96-100 Schutzhund III score. Dave checked the pedigrees of Britta and these two dogs, and mentioned to Leisa that they had no dogs in common for four generations, and that a breeding to Britta by a male of the litter would be interesting to see. Dave then went back to his web surfing; little did he know that Leisa would bring home Hunther vom Haus Tyson as a very special birthday present in 2004.
We are a small (one litter per year) breeder in Northern California. Our breeding program is an outgrowth of our Schutzhund training program.We breed only the finest, Schutzhund titled German Shepherds.
Our sire is Hunther vom Haus Tyson, and our foundation dam is Britta vom Haus Tyson. Hunther and Britta both have German A"A normal hips, OFA certified good hips and normal elbows, have passed the German AD ("Ausdauerprufung,"or endurance test). Dave has personally trainedboth dogs to their respective titles.
