About Us

We are a small hobby breeder located in northern California. Our family consists of our two legged kids as well as our four legged ones. We have both working line GSD's as well as European show lines. We focus on dogs that are sound tempered, great working dogs and produce well balanced puppies. Our puppies are born and raised in the house with all the excitement of kids, dogs, a cat and everything that comes with a full household. We start imprinting the pups with lots of noises and textures at a couple weeks old. We help build their play drive by using different types of tugs made of different materials. We enhance their environmental confidence by exposing them to walking on different textured foundations as well as slightly unstable foundations. Our goals are to provide people with great puppies that will enhance their life and successfully meet their goals whatever they may be

The Vom Dart Haus Puppy raising beliefs!

My beliefs in raising a well rounded German Shepherd starts from birth. I believe a puppy can't be too socialized environmentally or socially within the first 8 weeks of their lives. I start by birthing and raising the puppies in a house full of excitement. I use everyday house hold items to imprint puppies to different sounds and movements, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, banging pots and pans, shaker bottles, metal shaker cans, tugs and toys, young children running a muck and a cat. I begin using food to motivate puppies to walk and stand on different textures such as slick plastics, raised coated wire mesh platforms and other challenging surfaces. I expose them to water on a regular basis. I begin at about 3 1/2 weeks of age taking the puppies for short car rides. On a daily basis each puppy receives individual tactile stimulation covering all areas of their bodies, this also includes nail trimming.

I invite family and friends of all ages to come visit and play with puppies at all stages of their lives for complete socialization. I start all puppies tugging on both burlap as well as synthetic material. I start all puppies walking up and down on a puppy "A-Frame." I also start puppies on the beginnings of tracking after their temperament test is completed on the 49th day. Most importantly we give our puppies a loving start in hopes that it will be continued through out their lives.
