• Working dogs were originally developed to perform a function, whether it was to herd reindeer, watch the farm and flock, haul a sledge, pull a cart or watch over the family’s children. I strive to produce dogs that are capable of performing these functions according to their breed history.

• The best dogs are those that are genetically and temperamentally suited for their life’s work. All ArticCross dogs must be healthy both in mind and body. Dogs used for breeding must have all relevant health clearances including OFA (hips & elbows), CERF (eyes), and Heart clearances.

• Most ArticCross pup’s life’s work will be to act beloved members of their families. I rarely breed and then only to produce working animals for myself; they must be steady and strong of mind and body. I choose mates for my dog’s based first on their temperament, willingness to work, structural strength, genetic health & familial longevity, and finally on their beauty.
