Small family run kennel. Breeding limited litters where quality not quantity matters. Culzeans is an ancient Celtic name meaning Stronghold. We believe we have a stronghold in excellence with our dogs. We have been involved with dogs since 1976 when got our first Golden Retrievers. We met our first German Shepherd in 1978 where we fell in love with the trainability that rivaled if not exceeded that of the Goldens and the heart and character that grabs ahold of your heart and holds it dear to theirs.  Once you are owned by a German Shepherd you never go back. We got our first pure bred German Shepherd in 1995 and have never looked back. Structure, temperament and brains, all work together and they are what we strive for.

Our dogs are raised in our home not a kennel. We start all puppies on the Super dog program at day three and continue it until they go to their new homes at 8-12 weeks old. We encourage all our puppy owners to continue this program and will help any way we can. Training and socialization is extremely important to all dogs a German Shepherd is a working/herding dog and they need the mental as well as physical stimulation. We are picky when it comes to new homes for our puppies so expect many questions. You may ask us any questions because you should know the breeder you buy from.
