Since 1988, Blackpool kennels has been breeding, training and showing English type Golden Retrievers. We have bred well over ten Champions and trained many obedience titled dogs. We are a small kennel dedicated to the improvement and advancement of the English type Golden Retrievers in Canada. Since we first laid eyes on this most ingratiating of breeds, we had to have one. Nothing compares to the soft dark eyes of the true English Golden. So we set out to breed the best family dogs possible. To do this they had to live with us not in kennels. We found this would be the best way for us to truly know their temperaments. We also decided too choose our lines carefully and stayed away from hip, heart and cancer problems in the breed. We wanted only healthy dogs that would live a long,long healthy life and pass these same traits to their progeny.
