I truly hate hearing about this. Just terrible.

Considering it was a legal gun. Statewide firearms license. Flipped out when he saw gays kissing a couple weeks ago. Terrorism or hate crime or a little of both?

Same weapon as used in Sandy Hook. Leaves me speechless.

As for motive, I will go for both, choosing who to hate probably has many choices.

It is only going to get worse.

Well his dad says it is not about religion but about gays instead.

I saw what the dad said. Dad's reaction has to be one of protection, too. Also that the shooter was on an FBI watch list, too.

No doubt his hatred was focused on gays, and was something he cultivated over time. The thing for me, is I think for his motive to be on a singular vein, and only obsessing on a hater victim type, well, usually their "attacks" when provoked by an anger incident, would be focused on the individuals they are raging on about.

His method and deliberate carnage is undeniably one of planning. And certain other precedents are hard to ignore.

Time will tell.

Shooter called 911 and claimed allegiance to ISIS.

Extremism in any form is evil at its most basic.  Extremism is to annihilate anyone who does not 100% agree with the extremist views.  Violence against LGBT community will continue until people get over the fact that it is a significant sin and needs to be punished.
