Scientists work every day to prove each other wrong and creationists work every day to prove each other right.  One method is honest, the other is dishonest.

Amen,no pun intended. Hope things are getting back to normal after your recent loss :)

Thanks dsh, I guess it's as normal as it can be. I'm back in Pittsburgh and staying with Dad, so he can remain at home for as long as possible. I'm in a sort of holding pattern as far as my own life goes, but that's okay... for now :)
Their senior, tripod Yorkie is more work than Dad, but at least he gets along with Drake, so life is good.

Thank you mindhunt, but honestly, it's not that difficult, makes me feel good that I'm able.

Scientists are trying to find the truth; they aren't trying to prove each other wrong. Real creationists aren't trying to prove anything; faith does not need proof, or it wouldn't be faith.

Actually, the scientific method is designed such that no work is above scrutiny and is tested and retested on an ongoing basis. My initial post stands.

As far as your other comment goes, facts are largely ignored in favor of faith, most likely to avoid the results of cognitive dissonance.

by Noitsyou on 14 June 2016 - 01:06

@GSDtravels, read what I wrote. I said scientists are motivated to find the truth not prove each other wrong. Saying that they want to just prove each other wrong would be true if they were all Sicilians.

by Noitsyou on 14 June 2016 - 01:06

Faith, by definition is irrational. Facts aren't ignored, they are irrelevant.

In order for science to work, the evidence must be falsifiable, 'nuff said.
