I could never have dreamt this one up in a million dinosaur years. What if we really end up having to choose between Hillary and Donald?

by vk4gsd on 26 February 2016 - 00:02

But dinosaurs are only 6000 years old.

by beetree on 26 February 2016 - 01:02

1,000,000 X 6000 = 6,000,000,000 years. Yep, sounds about right. Then I would guess this match-up that is starting to look inevitable.

The bigger questions are: How and Why? And WTF!?!

All I can say it makes great entertainment for the rest of the world. I would vote for trump based on the pretty ones he surrounds himself with, prolly not the best in terms of policy but still.

Trump is not part of the 'system' so he has my respect in that regard.
Signed, NOT one of the "dumbest of the dumb"

I have always said, "Anybody but Hillary", and now it seems I am forced to endure the reality of, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!"

The one thing I do like about Trump is he obliterates the PC co-opting of language that has been the unrelenting thrust of cultural Marxism. Unfortunately, without the support of the college educated base, a win against Hillary is not being favored in the polls.

No politics expert but here is how I see it;

Trump is a sleazy dirty old man - for the dignity of women and how far they have come in their struggle against inequality female voters in the US have to vote for Hillary.

For the same reasons above men should vote for trump.

by beetree on 26 February 2016 - 20:02

No way will I ever vote for Hillary. She sold her soul to the devil quite a while back. Trump is a showman, not a statesman. It is a sad situation to contemplate. Oh sometimes I wish I still had the optimism of youth like my college boy. Makes me almost want to vote for Bernie. If that young pup Rubio could be a real possibility we can hope to edge out Trump off his tracks, maybe just maybe— we can be spared Hillary.

Trump says what unsophisticated people think. The Great Wall of America he is going to build on the border will be a hoot.

Can't wait to get my photo next to it, $100 says he will use cheap labour sourced from illegal migrants from Mexico to build it. The cartels will appreciate the added security and regulation of drug traffic flow it will provide, kind of legitimise their biz and the added overhead costs will minimise competition thus ensuring the monopoly of the major cartels.

by beetree on 26 February 2016 - 21:02

The truth is a wall is already a failed idea for the most obvious of reasons. The Mexican cartels have already created super tunnels under the Mexican-US border. He would have to realize that, eventually. The USA should just bite the bullet and legalize recreational pot, some states have already gone that route. More will surely follow. And that would hurt the cartels the most, and most importantly provide funding for initiatives that might actually work. Maybe instead, use those funds to concentrate on the resurgence of heroin traffic that is killing people and destroying lives every day.

It really doesn't matter that what he says is a stupid solution because he only needs to capture the feeling of what the average guy, the unsophisticated self-concerned person is thinking. He knows that the idea, any idea can be improved upon. It is only the beginning, not the end— if only he has a seat at the table. That's the end game.

If we want to stop illegal immigrants from the Mexican borders we have to stop making it an easy path to legitimacy. Not easy when that means denying their children services makes one deemed heartless.
