Oops sorry not sure what happened. I had a long one typed up too. So I am going to make this one short.... Lol. I really like how your dog is coming along. Grips are getting calmer and he really seems to be having a great time. Keep up the great work and videos

As I mentioned I do really like how your dog is progressing... He seems to be understanding it more and looks alot calmer in his work and more focused.

A lot of people forget that a dog is able to have prey AND civil drives...
I really like your vids, although I´d still work him on leash, not free. Just use a longer leash for these kind of "stunts".
You should think about a reward ( either a toy after the "out" or something he is able to pull off the helper ), otherwise too much frustration in the long run - and you are able to support prey and defense during the same time.

a social, civil prey dog imo is the dog to have. I could never figure out why people think a defensive dog is somehow a desirable thing, so limiting, so lacking in the overall package of useful working traits and trainability.

a strong prey dog can do anything, a defensive can do only one thing that the prey dog can do better anyway.....so why all the internet BS about the real old school defense dogs, what do you gain with it?

I'm not a fan of super civil and defensive dogs either.

I much prefer a confident, social, and stable dog that is sure of himself. All of the super civil dogs I have seen have horrible nerves, they are overcompensating for their insecurities with their behavior.

A dog doesn't need to be angry to bite for real, so why have one?
