There is a rumor floating around that the SV has told the GSDCA and WDA that they (meaning THEY the SV) will not be releasing anymore judges until the two side work out their little squabble......Have anyone heard the same thing?

Wallace:
I haven't heard anything resembling that. I suspect it is exactly as you said, just a rumor but who knows. From what I have heard, the GSDCA was confident of its position and wanted to let the court settle the matter expeditiously. However, as I understand it, for some reason or another the WDA decided they didn't want to have the hearing as originally scheduled. They apparently petitioned the court to put off the hearing until some time late this fall, November I believe.

Wallace;
Apparently, I was wrong and it is more than a rumor.

That is correct Richard. What a mess. I wonder if this affects judges already committed to events or just future requests for judges.

I would assume that this is going to impact entries at tge THREE Sieger Shows in April/May. Looks like USCA
may be the only game in town for the big show...unless WDA & GSDCA can suddenly resolve things in just over 60 days.

This will have no impact on any of the major events this year. The judges for those events have already been assigned. This new SV edict is only for any events which have not already been assigned judges.

In which case, it is a stupid, pointless move by the SV/WUSV. If it were immediatly effective, and therefore impacting the big shows and national championships coming up in April/May. Now, that would be incentive to get to the table and hammer things out. Once the big events are done, the same incentive simply is not there. JMNSHO. Oh, well.

My understanding is that the GSDCA has received full and formal release of its judges for the Universal Sieger Show. Surely there is someone on here who hasn't been forbidden to speak about the WDA's formal situation with its events. Forgive me if I am wrong, but somehow, we seem to hear very little about what is reality in the WDA.
Quite possibly, the WUSV/SV's new found position may be a good thing. I am a great believer in an adage attributed to W. Clement Stone which I have tried to live by; "Every adversity is the seed of something of equal or better value". Maybe now the SV's position will motivate the WDA to finally agree without any hesitation, put offs, and/or postponements to come to the table in an effort to actually work out the problems between them and the GSDCA. I have no official capacity with the GSDCA or any other organization but as some have said the WDA has hoped to be considered as a free standing organization, unencumbered by its long standing dependence on the GSDCA for years. I really believe the GSDCA would happily let them play on their on field free of the GSDCA's oversight, credentials or authority. That issue would probably take 5 minutes before a judge or legally binding mediation authority. Once a judge or legally binding mediator orders the disjuncture, the WDA could correct its legal name to whatever they desire and apply, if they so desire, to become the 3rd bona fide member of the WUSV or to become a member of even RSV2000, from this country. Then everyone could let the chips fall where they may.
My humble and wholly unofficial opinion is that the GSDCA would be most happy to let the WDA's leadership play their own game, with their own money, on their own field, and with their own members. That release might not accomplish what the WDA really wants however. Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish to happen, which could possibly be the reason no solution or meetings before a binding legal authority has been achieved before now.
Does anyone really know what the WDA's leadership and members really want or expect?

It is interesting that this development is being kept hush hush? No one is talking about it? I do know that a letter was sent to the WUSV/SV asking to "Please Resend That Order" by one of the organizations claming that it would cripple that organization. Oh well, I guess on the other hand it's not really worth talking about. The affect of the WUSV/SV order will be seen soon enough.

Wallace:
For the most part I think your comments were most appropriate but in fairness to the "being kept hush hush":
1. The President of the GSDCA has publicly acknowledged his organization did receive the new SV position letter relating to future SV Judging assignments in this country.
1a. Has the WDA publicly acknowledged receiving such a letter?
2. The GSDCA has publicly confirmed that its SV Judges have been formally approved by the SV for its upcoming National Events.
2a. Has the WDA publicly confirmed that its SV Judges have been formally approved by the SV for its upcoming National Events?
Personally, I do not know the answer to 1a. or 2a. above for sure. However, I do know that if either of them is answerable in the affirmative, I haven't heard it.
Furthermore, just as you state, there has been an apparent "hush hush" put in place. However, I believe one of the two involved organizations has not taken the zipped lip position. As I see it, the one being open and forthright is probably not the one that would see the SV's action as crippling.
