I am wondering who is to be contacted if you are trying to get a kennel liscense. Do you need a kennel license if you are in the county?

in my case, a kennel lic comes from the State. To obtain a state lic you must prove you are in compliance with your local zoning laws. We are inspected by a State employee with the title "Dog Warden''. Laws and rules are different for each State. Find out your laws before investing in Dogs or buildings!

It really depends on where you are. Even though I am in an unincorporated area, in my county here in Washington state, I still needed to get a conditional use permit, county approval, have a hearing and allow public comment, present and record my waste clean-up/management plan, and about a half dozen other things. The permit process ran over $10,000 while the license itself was $150.
Check your zoning and read the fine print.
