Wow!!! I am inferring from the above post that WUSV does not recognize WDA.

I believe what you're really seeing is, GSDCA and UScA are not recognizing the WDA. But I would hold off on that assumption.

@PanzersDad - I read another post (2015 WUSV Qualification Trial to be held June 6-7, 2015 and hosted by the UScA.) that contained an email to the poster from Jim Alloway that cleared up my assumptions. As of today, i am not at a level to compete for a spot and by the time i am, this mess will all be sorted out Shades Smile

The WUSV  has never recognized the WDA, they cannot--there are only two WUSV member clubs in the US. They are the USCA and the GSDCA--The WDA only, ever operated under the unbrella of the GSDCA, now that the GSDCA has ended that relationship the WDA has no official standing, no matter what they claim.

The information that the President of the USCA posted is dated. Both Presidents of the USCA and the GSDCA had a recent agreement that only competitors sent and approved by the GSDCA, (not the GSDCA-WDA) will be allowed to compete at the Combined---that is why the GSDCA President posted the above statement.

The GSDCA the WUSV the USCA all want this issue resolved and it was supposed to be heard by the courts this month--however the WDA has continued to delay and delay--now they have delayed the lawsuit, that will resolve everything untill next November.

This is why the GSDCA is currently taking all necessary steps to insure it's rights as one of the only two United States WUSV members.  Only WUSV member clubs can take part in sending yearly teams to the WUSV Championships and the WUSV Universal Sieger competition. In the US those two WUSV member clubs are the GSDCA and the USCA, period

RPG:

Points well made. Although I don't believe I know you personally, I agree with your stated position. However, I feel certain that others participating in Pedigree Database may not share or agree with our views on the matter. If the leadership of the other opinion base allows its people to speak about the matter publically, possibly they will offer their positions and provide the rationale for that thinking.

Hi Richard, actually you know me pretty well.  My pedigree handle are my initials and I'm the event chair of the upcoming GSDCA IPO Championships. I am not trying to change any minds, just getting the information out as to the GSDCA's position.

The GSDCA has been trying to get this issue resolved for a long time.  Would love to know the rationale the WDA comes up with to have changed their championship from the week after ours to the same weekend, violating a long observed gentlemans agreement not to have conflicting national events at the same time.

Also maybe a explanation as to why, when they claim to have support of the WUSV they continue to pospone the lawsuit, they filed, instead of letting the courts decide and getting the issue resolved.

RPG: Now I know who you are.

Like you, I don't think many minds can be changed. Some will believe what they want irrespective of reality. Others may follow one or another "pied piper" till hell freezes over.

On a side note, I would recommend everyone visit the GSDCA-WDA's website and read the most recent Hundegram. In one of a series of emails published in the Hundegram,  Herr Lux, Secretary of the SV/WUSV wrote:  "We strictly adhere to the principle of noninterference and explicitly respect the autonomy of our member clubs within their native countries."  Herr Lux's prior sentence clearly stated; "We serve as a contract partner to our member clubs only..."

Herr Lux made it a point to clearly and specifically state  'member clubs'. There are only two "member clubs" within the United States of America unless something has changed in the last few minutes. Anyone wondering which are the only two "members clubs" can access the WUSV website (www.wusv.de). The site lists every WUSV member club in the entire world.  Under the United States; only two are listed; The German Shepherd Dog Club of America and the United Schutzhund Clubs of America.
