Not sure "funny" is a word I would have used to describe this, however;

the participants looked like they were having fun (dontcha think Training

has got more serious, nowadays ?).

Certainly not funny,its interesting, why do you think its funny?

I looked up in the dictionary the word funny, because I thought I had used a wrong word. But it is what I meant to say. Why do you think this video it is not funny?

Not much in it to laugh at.

So its a little oldfashioned and not terribly structured by today's standards,

but the dogs are working happily,  they are doing what is asked of them.

dogs look happy, people look happy, handlers giving extra commands, judge helping dogs across the obstacles, handlers smoking cigarettes, judges smoking cigarettes, no po-faced competitors.

heart warming, loved every bit of it.

Nan, why ?  What did you see that "cracked you up" ?

I know humour / comedy is an individual thing, and hard to define, but

still don't get what OP finds "funny".

Looks more like Ringsport! with the suit and all.
