I took the dogs out for a run the other day and snapped some pictures of Strauss and Wesson. I always have found the stark differences between lines in the breed interesting (and not always unwelcomed). It's interesting to note the differences just in the animals of my house
Strauss, age 10.5 years, half German show lines, 1/4 American lines, 1/4 working lines.
Wesson, age 3 years, American show lines, 17 weeks post whelp
I also find it utterly hilarious that the two of them, even if it is (really) loosely, are related

nice pics of nice dogs for sure, thems dogs know there way around a stack position.
as far as your sentiments i don't find them a source of beauty, if anyhting they are a source of alarm and concern. the fact the differences you alude to suggest to me evidence of a breeding program, ie the gsd, gone completely bonkers to the point any claims of a standardised breed is well just nuts.
imo.

Nice dogs, Xeph. I got your point.

Blitzen, did you put your glasses on looking at the dogs.People expect honest opinion no matter bad or good, not to be polite and dishonest, breeding dogs like this is not bringing glory to the breed.Mixing, working dogs with showline and then with american lines is like Molotov coctail.I don't see any beauty in these dogs, maybe i need a glasses.

i question took the dogs out for a run and snapped some pictures - this seems like a formal photo session, like to know how much running they did.

So then jerzypawlik, don't buy or breed the lines you don't like and let others do the same.

Not that it is any of your business anyway. I do have plans for a cross line breeding with my bitch down the road, but the Old Man Dog has not sired any litters

I like to have them. I'm always looking for that perfect set up. I like stacked shots. I like working shots, too, but I can get stacks on my own Hell, I too stacked shots of my bitch throughout her entire pregnancy

They are beautiful Xeph! Your old man has the dignity & Grace of accomplishment, & your girl is a rock star. Your old man has much the same pedigree as my girl did, my heartdog. 3/4 GSL 1/4 ASL. She was a fireball, as real & serious as any.
I think that some don't have the lens of experience to judge others dogs, or to recognize that our breed is versitile enough to be more than the defense or prey monsters they are experienced with.
Your dogs both have that depth of intelligence that shines from their eyes & is evident in their easy & perfect stacks. It says "I was raised & trained by the hands of experience." Gorgeous! More than a veneer, but beauty through & through!
