We had a rescue who became deaf in old age. We bought an electronic collar which emits a buzzing sound which can be felt via the little black emitter box, and put it on Arko. We then showed him that everytime he felt the buzzer we would follow that up with a cookie. It took about 15 minutes for Arko to learn that when he felt the buzzer and came to the back door, he'd get a treat.
No more hunting for the big black dog on three fenced acres at night :)

I'm not sure why the pager was needed to indicate the turns. As long as the dog is watching the handler it should have been able to "See" the movement of the handler and follow correctly. The pager should have been used for distance commands. Correct? I'm not understanding what is going on here. Please explain.
