I'm training a young male for shows. He's not mine, but we're best friends already...
I'm wondering what you think of him. Please critique him :)
The pictures are stacks, the first one is made on a show.

Black and tan German Shepherd Dog male of good type, above medium size and medium strong. Correct proportions, good length of leg, good head and expression. Good substantial neck, good topline, normal withers, strong back of good length, croup could be a bit longer but good position, nice tail and tailset, correct hind angulation, good hocks and feet. Good underline, standas straight on fore legs, good pasterns, good shoulder that could use a bit more length and angle to front upper arm, good shoulder blade lay back.
Above is what I feel certain about.
What I'm not very certain about is; something is not correct about his shape of rib cage, ribs look barelled at top then suddenly turn in, ribs also look short.
A question: when dog is gaiting and moving away from you, do you notice wobbling at front knee joints?, do they move outward and inward in the horizontal plane? especially after a good run?
You can verify the shape of ribs and strength of knee joints yourself, and you might just forget about these two additional points as I might just be totally wrong here.
Good luck
Ibrahim

overall, he's a handsome boy but with it's own share of short-comings like every other dog.

His father is Champ v Haus Voerde and his mother is a Yak Frankengold daughter. At this age he is about 64,5 cm, so he's indeed medium sized, maybe a little big already. At the show he wasn't 'fest und trocken' enough (sorry, don't know the English translation), so his result was only a Good. Wasn't happy with that... But, in a realistic way he is only 13 months, he was the youngest in his class. I'm optimistic about his future. He has a lot of will to please! Hips and elbows are tested when he was 6 months old (so pre-xrays): it looked perfect.
I will try to make a headshot this week, I will upload it here :)

Same dog, he's now almost 16 months. What do you think, did he improve himself? (this is not a perfect stackingpic, but it will work I hope)
