another guy wants to look at my pooch, around here that is code for some guy wants to shut my dog down for bragging rights. been thru this so many times, in fact i get litle training other than this stupidity and i am stupid enough to keep doing it. would not do it if the dog was stressed but it always ends the same, idiot yelling and screaming and stink eyeing my dog, dog getting out of his brain wanting to get at the guy, guy having an oh shit moment and dog already knows he wins - again.
think this time i will demand the guy use an undercover sleeve, i got a brand new one never been used. sick of these guys getting it to easy with a hard arm, i want them to feel what they started.
anyhoo new venue, new decoy again, would like to actually get some training value out of it after a 400km + round trip. any suggestions how i might set this up so it isn't just the same old stupid routine the dog knows and wins at every other time.

Any decoy that wants to shut your dog down for bragging rights is not some one that would ever work my dog. Shutting a dog down is nothing a skilled decoy brags about, quite the opposite. Any dog can be shut down and your dog can easily be shut down. A good decoy will pressure the dog then let the dog win. This is a good way to screw up your dog. Why is it that you feel that the need to prove something with your dog? Your going to drive 400km round trip for this? If your decoy is wearing a sleeve, even a brand new hidden sleeve the dog will smell the equipment right away and know it's training. We rarely use hidden sleeves that we purchase, we make our own out of material that won't key the dog.

slam good points, how ever, i never said any of these assholes were "good" decoys and the dog will win anyhows cos i know the clumsy skill level of these guys and the dogs they are used to dealing with. you think i would let my dog get hurt? who knows could be a real nice guy with mad decoy skills, one way to find out.

Shit, if you're bound and determined to do this, at least charge the fools for the training session.

400 + km later i am happy to say met some nice people and some nice dogs. the decoy would not give my dog a bite, he put a rag on a long rope and just wanted to see the dogs response. kind of a long way to go just for that but i will go back again and work with these people.
the decoy/trainer is very methodical and gentle, a nice guy who cares about dogs. he wants to get the my dog more sleeve focused. kind of different to what the dog is used to but i am always open to new things.

vk4, use a competition mondio/french bite suit an ipo trainned dog who has really hard grips will retake on those suits untill he's comletly full and since those suits aren't made for dog's whit full grips and mondio/french helpers retrakted their arms out of the dogs grip so they only get grip on the suit it gives really nice results when an ipo trainned full grip regrips untill he gets hold of an arm/leg when the suit isn't much thicker than normal jeans
just do me az favour and afterwards take some pictures of the guy's arms

He brings the dog to me. He needs to get out from down under and experience the rest of the world, kind of like Crocodile Dundee.
