Good Dog Cirberus - Page 1

SHE DID IT!!  14 months of working hard to be calm when asked.   Cirberus got her CGC this week.  She passed with flying colors.  On ward and up wards.  

A bit of a background:  Cirberus is my "What do I do with this, hyper, energetic, bouncing off walls, puppy?  Her and I worked for 7 months to come to an understanding.  We then went to our 1st trail for IPO to learn and see if this is what we wanted.  We were told "Your 7 month old puppy is too disciplined.  You need to un-do what you have done if you want her in IPO."   I cried for 2 days, then decided that the way she was is what I wanted.  A puppy that knew the difference between playing hard and wild at home and being calm and collected in public.

Just for fun, this is Cirberus in stealth mode, waiting to attack her brother.

Congrats! and Phooy on who ever told you to undo all your hard work. That's BS!
My dog is 2 years old and she is two totally different dogs depending on what i'm doing with her. On the Schn field in her training harness she is a killer! (no really but damn she enjoys the game)
But at agility she is happy and calm, ready to work and ready to go.
In obedience she is calm and quiet. Willing and eager to do her part in the training. Showing that obedience can be done with gusto.
When we did the BH we blew those shepherd and rotties away. I can't wait to do the first IPO! (Which we are not ready for yet and i'm not rushing her either. When my trainer say it's time then i go fill out the papers.)
So get out there, enjoy your dog have a blast training and forget that jerk!
