What is your opinion about this pups pedigree?. Conformation and what do you guess about final color Regular, Dark, or "Black" sable. I do know he is almost completely DDR bloodlines and He goes back to OLD working bloodlines through Racker vom gleisdereick

There is no such thing as black sable, but he will be a nice darker sable at maturity. Sables tend to mature to the color they were born. The stages in between have little bearing.

If you have a picture of him at birth, that will be the approximate color he will be full grown :) Very nice puppy!

I would like an overall critique. I understand nobody knows for sure a final color, but a guess would be nice. I only have a birth pic of the whole litter, and its hard to say which is which.

Gorgeous puppy for sure! If I had to guess I would say Dark sable at full maturity IMO

I know you quoted black, Harrison, but I put that there for everyone reading this thread. The "black sable" thing really makes me wanna scream, LOL. Teeth Smile

Bearing in mind he's still a baby and has much growing to do, therefore his adult structure may end different from what it looks today, at 12 weeks old his proportions, substance, head, topline, withers, hind and front angulation, hocks, pasterns and feet are all very  good. His croup though is short, loin a little long and tailset a bit high. A very beautiful young boy he is. I am not good at work line pedigrees, I was expecting members like Jenni would comment on his pedigree in addition to the color!

Thanks for all the comments . Jenni, I do understand your frustration. Would you say he will be as dark as dad if you had to guess? What do you think of the pedigree if i wans wanting him to be a family protection and pp dog.

Without seeing newborn pics, I have no idea. As far as pedigree,  I bred to Ron, and I almost bought Bonnie. I have heard Ron was the hardest brother and that Rex and Roland could produce some softness but were/are nice dogs. I have never met any offspring of either of them. I only have my own Ron pups (now 4 years old) to gauge. His conformation looks good at this age. I guess I don't know what you want to know about his pedigree...I mean, you bought the dog...I assume you knew as much as you felt you needed to at the time...is there something specific you have a question on? I'm not being snotty; I'm seriously asking.
