Marjorie,
Roslyn is the dog's name.
She is safe.
I am in contact with volunterers from this pound on a daily basis via email. Being from Chicago I never thought I would have such good friends from Kentucky.
It is not a good place for any dog or cat. It is a pound in a rural area of Kentucky, southeast of Lexington, that serves 5 counties.
If anyone wants a good read, google Estill County Animal Shelter. It has been in the news in Ky a few times, lawsuits, etc.
They have a small, but, awesome group of ladies (4 or 5 of them) from The Way Home Rescue Alliance that tirelessly work their butts off to get these animals out of there every week.
If anyone is looking to make a donation before the end of the year for tax purposes or just wants to help, TWHRA is a truly worthy group and could use the help.
They got Roslyn out of pound and to a vet the day the asshole owner dropped her off with her three day old pups.
A rescue has stepped up for her and they are working out transportation arrangements.

P.S. Hi Lisa, Sarah, Jane, and Amy!
