This is my first time owning a working dog, and it's also my first time with the flirt pole with my girl. Also my first time editing a video...lol A lot of first times, but we've been having fun figuring it out along the way. Anyway, here's a short video of my girl chasing the toy on the flirt pole. It's funny, she knows where I store it, so even in the house she goes looking for it trying to get at it. lol

You don't really need a flirt pole to build drive in a Malinois. If you're going to use one. The line should be half as long. You want to keep the tug/toy on the ground
(NOT in the air) and you want to make quick back and forth movements (like a rabbit trying to escape) not just running in a circle. If you want more then a high energy pet? Find a sport club (Schutzhund/IPO or Mondio/French Ring)and some experienced trainers

I plan on it, she's still pretty young so I don't want too many quick turns yet. But I am going to get into a schutzhund club in the area fairly soon. Wasn't really using it to build drive so much as a tool to just wear her out by a different means then the norm. That's all I really use it for, anyway.
I do greatly appreciate the advice, though. And I will definitely keep that in mind if I ever do need one to build drive.
