Okay, so I'm looking to build myself a long jump and hurdle. But I'm not exactly what you would call handy.
Does anyone know where I could find some guidelines or blueprints to help me along the way?
If not, I'm just gonna wing it!
Thanks, Emily.

Where are you situated? We have someone in our club who make beautiful lightweight jumps and palisade and it would be worthwhile for you to come over and have a look.

Are you a NARA member? If so, the last newsletter that went out (April - June 2012 issue) had articles in it on how to build a hurdle and a long jump. Don't need to be super handy, they are mainly PVC so a saw and a drill are about the only tools you need, along with a tape measure.
If you aren't a member I have articles on my website on how to build the jumps.
http://www.dantero.com/hurdle.php

These are more generic jumps though, built for training and not specific to the FR standards for competition. I updated/tweaked these articles when I put them in the NARA newsletter. I am planning to put copies of the articles that were in the newsletter on my clubs website at http://www.independentringers.com/education.php Hopefully that will get done within the next few days.
