This is my first dog. Ive had her over a month now. she is 3 months old. I live at home with my parents on the weekends and an apartment during school. When im at my parents house she will never use the bathroom inside. but at my apartment thats all she will do. I let her sleep with me which people tell me i shouldnt. She has began to jump on everything even after i say no and sit. She chews up everything! mostly all of my jeans. and when it is time to feed her she jumps all over me which makes me spill everything. she undertands sit but will not do it when she sees food. I just need some tips and help since i really dont know much

At your parents she feels out of place,so is more obedient. First, clean your floors with something that cleans the pee-poop scent, like bleach. Then, unfortunately, you have to draw a line between her and you; to her the line is blurred and she either thinks you are the same or she is in charge, hence why she is less obedient. Also, it will help you to use a crate for her and take her out as often as possible, then lessen walks to when ever you really can ( like before work, lunch time, etc ). It's not good to just train with treats ( I recommend you use the kibbles she eats as treat ) , but you need to get her attention quickly; work on her sit and on and off use a treat. Have her on a sit before you put her food in the dish, if she moves, don't pour it on until she is sitting. After you do this a few times, you may see a change. Be patient, she's just 3 months old,a baby still, so she might make a mistake here and there, but stay the course. Good luck

I agree with jdiaz, she is still a baby.  I would have her sleep in a crate, also crate her whenever you are unable to watch her!  Just like starting over with a younger puppy with house breaking.  Either crated or with you where you can watch her constantly!  She will not have the opportunity to potty in the house.

As for jumping on you, that is normal for her age.  She doesnt fully understand sit, as she is a 3 month old puppy.  Be consistent and keep working with her.... have her sit before you put her food down, as jdiaz said if she moves do not put it down.  Once she is sitting still and calm put her food down.  She will learn quickly what she has to do to get her food.

Just be patient and remember that she is just a PUPPY!  It takes time for them to learn, grow up and mature!

Can you afford to take her to training classes? It sounds like you need to learn from a professional just how to teach your pup the basics. You have to train yourself before you can train her. From what you've said, she's s a typical puppy, and the jumping up and chewing are all part of owning a pup this age.
