I have been so busy, I didn't even know Mommy laid 2 more eggs!
Heck, I haven't even checked on the baby eagles! I bet they are getting so big!

I have a bird house out my window and the sparrows had one big baby who flew off. Sure enough they were going at it on the rose bush again, just the other day. Ususally there are more babies so I always wonder if some cowbird snuck in. I see them in the redwing blackbird flocks in the spring.

Cowbirds are very interesting birds. Are there any other birds that do that with their eggs?

On the Cornell Northern Cardinal cam, 2 of the eggs in the nest they think may belong to Cowbirds!
Three Eggs

The female Northern Cardinal is now incubating 3 eggs.
Cardinals or Cowbirds?
Jun 06, 2011 -
The Northern Cardinal cam host sent us this image of the eggs taken from close range. It does appear as if 1 of the eggs is slightly smaller than the other 2, which may mean the larger eggs are those of Brown-headed Cowbirds.
