Two VA1 Males and Females each??? - Page 1

In 1946 and 1947 there are two VA1 Males and VA1 Females listed each, My question, what do the abbreviations (T.Z.) and (Br.Z.) stand for? thanks

Germany was split into zones during this time period that were controlled by the Russians, British and Americans. During this time there were 2 Sieger shows, one in the British Zone (Br.Z.) and one in the American Zone (A.Z.)so you had 2 sets of VA awards presented in those years.

This is nothing other than a guess, but looking at the dates I think Br.Z. means British Zone, and while not sure sure, T.Z. might mean Eastern Zone, and thus the world was divided.

After World War II Western Germany had been divided in three parts, the American, British and French sector. Therefore, there was the differentiation in the winners of the different zones and of all three zones. thanks GS Mom and good guess Larry
