sending dogs to germany for titles - Page 4

Fake titles? How is that done? The competition community in Europe is rabidly competitive and jealous. Person(s) putting fake titles on dogs would not last a week. 
Now I think the problem is not necessarily with the training, but with the handlers  who get such trained dog. I see it often. Dog in Europe works like million bucks and it is documented on video, buyer and handler in US applies his/her approach to handling the dog and dog's training fades.  Then handler ( even experienced handler) gets handler's course in proper handling of the particular dogs and in what makes such dog tick and all is peachy ducky. Here is a hint . If the dog works well in different scenarios on videos and does nothing or is fading in his /her performance for you no matter what you try, then it is you and not the dog or his/her training. 
Common mistakes after dog arrives:
1. dog is put on training field way to early. Sometimes on the way from the airport,...in order to test new toy. Adjustment period, even with the dog you know, is necessary. Some dogs will work from the crate and some need adjustment. BOND  or RE-BOND  with your dog. Take your time. For example Go play fetch and work it into obedience performance.....  Let him/her tell you when they are ready to work for you. 
2. dog is started on the  most difficult exercise, instead on the easiest which he learned as a puppy. Progression should be from the pup to more difficult. This may take minutes or weeks. Dogs are not Chevy. You can not just turn the key. 
3. improper type and style and timing of motivation. Always learn the motivation form a trainer. get an handler's course from him/her. Even if you pay such trainer to come to you ar you go to him in Europe. 
4. Combining the problem. Dog is not working "a" scenario thus the trained keeps repeating it ad nauseam until dog goes into avoidance. This can happen pretty quickly. If you encounter  a problem STOP! Do not repeat! Instead simplify the scenario and try different approach. Use BABY STEPS. 
There are other issues but these are the most important in failure to get out of the dog what he was doing elsewhere for different trainer.

There is a German saying " PACK SCHLÄGT SICH - PACK VERTRÄGT SICH"
I don´t know how to translate - but unhonest people tend to stick together.
These ( mostly ) guys are the exception, not the norm, but some are still out there.

Susie, I reckon the English equivalent is
"Birds of a feather stick together"  ?  
Probably can be used in a wider context,
but surely describes the way the dishonest
folk in every society tend to gather in flocks
to share values and cover for each other. LOL

ok , so i am glad i put such an interesting topic on here, but i have to do some clearing here , First Abadon , was a dog i trained ,my,friend my boy, He was american born ,American bred.thus the handle Abadonsdad.  i loved him more than you can know , i could save him from everything but cancer.i would not have traded him for 3 or 4 german dogs. yes i have American and German bred dogs . it is my opinion that it is the dog and the trainer you have to look at when you talk duration , to get a title....i love shepherds period ,, sorry for the ruse , but someone was attacking one of my friends , and i had to draw him to another post where he brought up my friends name ,then i reported him to admin....both the posts were deleted,, but it has been stimulating , i think i have been called everything but a white boy ..  so have fun , and again , sorry
