Speaking of sending your dog to Germany for a title,,,,,,,,,Did anyone notice the link posted earlier? BH, AD, SchH1 and the breed survey guaranteed, any dog, in just 2 to 4 months!

How is this possible?

It is possible only with "Midnight Trials" and the shenanigans that go with tuem.

No way... these are professional trainers in Germany. Two to four months should be plenty of time. How hard can it be to teach a dog some obedience and that tracking and other schutsund stuff? It's Germany and all Germans grow up doing this stuff.

I taught mine to sit with a hot dog in about 5 minutes. He will chase a ball when I throw it and he brings it back to me, most of the time pretty quick, unless of course he wants to play. He was jumping and biting us so we taught him not to do that real quick too. We just say 'leave it', and he slinks away knowing he did something bad.

These are professionals. I'm sure they can do all that other stuff in just a few weeks. Besides, my puppy,, now young adult, is from titled and surveyed parents. If the parents are titled and surveyed, surely my dog can do it. Isn't that why you buy a puppy from titled and surveyed parents anyway? Duh!

We want to breed him but understand he needs to be titled and that other thing first. Breed warden thing, I forget what they call it.

These professionals can do it all in 6 months for about 14,000. Looking at the price of the puppies, 3500 or so. I can make that back in no time. Best of all, he is a WORLD CHAMPION VA1 WORLD SIEGER CHAMPION VEGAS!!!!!, grandson. He has a hudge head and big bones, with rich mahogany color. And, yes, this is the best part,,,,,I'm so excited. He's great with kids and cats! Don't forget the cats! When was the last time you saw a 2 year old  largebonedrichredmahoganybigheadedgood with kidsANDcatsgermanshepherd that was so smart he could be BHADSCHH1SCHH2SCHH3NOTTOMENTIONTHERE'SNOSUCHTHINGASSCHUTZHUNDANYMORESHOWRATEDBREEDSURVEYED all in just 4 months! Guaranteed! He's a freakin' Enstein. The females will be standing in line for him. I'll get 1,200 to 1,500 stud fee for him. More than those VA dogs people waste their money breeding and showing.

See how easy this is.

Sad is right. There are many of the elements posted that ring true,,,not only from the original poster of this topic, but others as we saw on the Quenn son thread. There are people out there that believe a dog can be kept in the house as a family member until they are a year and a half old, go to Germany, get titled in 2 to 4 months.

If you find yourself sending your dog to Germany. Be sure to check references and prior accomplishments. Most importantly, and I can't stress this enough. Prepare your dog for the title. Put a good foundation on it, Once you are confident you have a dog worthy of a title and prepared for a title. Send it then.

Otherwise, think hard about what I'm going to say here. Otherwise your best bet, your luckiest day, the situation you really want to find yourself with, is a dog with a fake title in 2 months. Pay the money, hope your dog is fed a decent meal, hope the dog is kept in a decent kennel, hope the papers are signed in a surrounding country and your dog is magically titled. There's a good chance you will get back a dog that is about the same dog you sent. I would hate to think what your poor dog would have to endure to try to get a real title in 2 months after doing nothing and knowing nothing before it was sent to the meat grinder of a two month title. Chances are you would not be happy with the slinking nerve bag dog you drug out of the crate, the one that used to happily run and play around the house. The one that was exposed to numerous training methods used to compell it to try to learn something it did not understand. It's simple, force the dog to learn, if it doesn't, just prove it can't and send it back. the training fees are paid in advance, sorry no refund. Imaging taking a 15 year old boy who has grown up without an education and trying to get him a college degree in 4 months. Do the math, it simply doesn't add up.

Before doing something so stupid as attempting to get a dog titled in 2 months. Ask yourself, am I doing this for me or am I doing this for my dog? Is it that I just need to say; I have a titled and surveyed dog to make it look like I'm a good breeder or do you really have something that deserves to be titled and bred?

I pity the dogs, not the owners. What are we thinking when all we care about are titles and what the dog can do for us?

by Paul Garrison on 21 May 2013 - 11:05

I once imported a GS so smart he could have got his Sch 111 in 2 months maybe a month and a half, but he was so smart he was able to slide the widow open got out and too stupid not to get run over by a car.
