lol, seriously? This guy is an American and pretty sure that baby Obama had absolutely nothing to do with him being here. This creep was 29 years old, gasp, his family would have probably came here when Bush 1 was president. You are so far off base it isn't funny. I don't think you can ever stop this there will always be extremism and haters willing to kill. Legal gun in a state with easy gun laws, lots of carry and not one good guy with a gun stood up. The police in this case were heroes. We haven't seen the last of these killings and don't be shocked to find out the next one just might be a domestic terrorist especially with the racism, bigotry and hate our country is turning to and in fact in some instances embracing.

The investigators of the crime scene telling about all the cell phone's ringing has to be one of the worst experiences, so powerful and so chilling. The sound's will surely be haunting to so many.

The video I watched, no one will forget those guns blasts, they will haunt those people for years. One after the other and knowing that every blast blew away someones life. Sad, that we allow weapons of war to be sold to everyday people who then use those weapons to justify their twisted minds.

The jihadist had guns already....being as he was a federal security guard.

Refusing to name the terrorist is an approach sold under the guise of “No Notoriety”. NN is specifically deployed when actual events create risk and political danger. News consumers will specifically identify this NN approach is dependent on the ideology of the attacker. NN has little to do with the actual event, or the actual killer(s), NN’s use is targeted for deployment when the motive becomes uncomfortable.

The discomfort of Mateen’s Islamist motive stems from the reality of an actual jihadist working for the Department of Homeland Security, via G4S. G4S is responsible for the security of most federal buildings and agencies.

DHS is a sh*t show. I won't divulge anything specific but it's a joke of an agency and was totally unnecessary.

Joan, get off of th right wing hate sites and use your brain. The President called it an act of terror, which it was. The man was mentally unstable, it had nothing to do with jihad, it had everything to do with the hateful rhetoric that's been slung around at the LBGTQ community by the very politicians you champion and the right wing hate rags you read.
