uh ooh, I think somebody hacked Xeph's account. that ain't nothing close to an Am. s/l.
Hardy har har!
just kidding Xeph, and I really like how you keep expanding your GSD experience.
Thank you :) I think you've noticed I'm interested in all facets of the breed, not just one :)
Showing is certainly not the be all end all of what constitutes a quality dog. Though I love to show, I can certainly admit to the weaknesses in the show lines. While there are a few dogs out there that I'm sure could do service work, they are few and far between. If the temperament is there, the structure is not, if the structure is there, the temperament is not. That is not to say that because they lack the temperament I need for work means they're shitty and unstable all around, but the life of a service dog is quite stressful, and it is hard to find any dog at all that can deal with it. The washout rate of service dog prospects is incredibly high.

Sable GSD of very good substance and male type, large size and strong, well balanced, correct proportions i.e front leg to height and height to length. Strong head of good size, proportions, planes and a well defined stop. A substantial and beautiful neck of good length, Strong back, length at the top limit, a notable high and long withers , long loin, slightly short croup of a good lay, a little high tailset. Very good hind angulation and strong thigh, very good and strong hocks, good feet. Good underline, good chest depth, very good and strong pasterns, a clean front (straight fore legs), could use more fore chest development, slightly steep front upper arm but shoulder blade lay is good. A near to perfect conformation and each part of his body is male.
I wish his color was darker. Is the pigment rich? did you check nails and gums? Allover a pleasing and convincing male type.

I'm surprised you think he's large, Ibrahim! He's just under 25" xD
He has incredibly dark eye rims and nails. I definitely prefer a darker sable, but his color isn't bad :)
Thank you for the critique :)

The camera lens was lower than his back level, maybe that is why he looks large to me. He has a strong substantial build, correct?
No the color isn't bad at all, it's only my personal preference.

He has good substance for his size :) My preference is a larger dog, but he's capable of the work I need :)
