Let the Newbies Judge: What say you?

by Noitsyou on 14 June 2016 - 02:06

Speaking as a newbie, all we need are the facts. That's the reason why I registered here. I assumed that it was a neutral ground where those who had something to sell couldn't silence those who wanted to help others learn.

Maybe I was wrong about admin. I just got a little paranoid because it seemed more than coincidental that I was being "investigated" while I was being critical of Prager. I understand admin's concerns and assure you all I am not a former member. Again, Prager himself hasn't said that I am. I appreciate admin's understanding and fairness in all of this.

There were valid reasons for trying to keep my identity from Prager but I don't want to post them here because they may be interpreted as inflammatory even though they will be the truth. I would also prefer to keep this thread on the topic of the training in the video.

Prager

Swarnendu listen veeeeeery carefully. You must mistake me for someone who gives a damn about colors. Yet. I ASSURE YOU(!!!!) I do not give a damn about colors of the dogs, cars, cats, people, horses and so on. As Max v Stephanitz said. No good dog has bad color. So go harp on this issue with someone else. I couldn't care about it less then I care about last year's snow.

by Noitsyou on 14 June 2016 - 02:06

I suggest that any discussion of color have its own thread. It's only a suggestion.

I am going to make a fluffy blanket from a rather grey looking undercoat --two dogs worth!
Sweet dreams!

by Swarnendu on 14 June 2016 - 06:06

Prager listen veeeeeery carefully. You must mistake me for someone who gives a damn about your opinions. Yet. I ASSURE YOU(!!!!) I do not give a damn about the opinions of a person who doesn't have the balls to admit his ignorance, claims to have trained 1000s of GSDs, but doesn't know the definition of undercoat, or worse, couldn't find the time to run his palm along the overcoat (Guard hair?) of any of the 1000s of Sable GSDs he claim to have trained, to know that the hairs are actually BANDED, and so on.

Further, if it's of any interest for anyone here including you, I have not complained about anybody to anyone yet, but if someone continues to pretend that he is a reincarnation of Max v Stephanitz, I may lose it, and complain about defamation of God. So go harp on any issue with anyone else. I don't care about it, because I now know fully well that you don't have anything interesting to offer.

Admin you can give Hans or his decoy my IP adress I.m not afraid for them all. Maybe they send  www.internet hitman who knows let them come.

I don,t hide behind ghost providers.

What I said before the training and the decoy work in the opining video sucks
and wich people gonna testing a green dog with stress and frustration like this ?
every good experiences handler or decoy can tell you its a shame.

Do this step by step  and don,t throw a child directly in the deep water.

For the decoy I don,t know who you and what is your,e experience is maybe you
are new but if you can find a better and proven trainer I,m sure he can make
you better or to an other level.  People don,t waste you,re time with long stories blah blah  better invest this in training dogs, or and don,t forget  enjoy your dogs and make a nice walk  with them to a nice  beach or a forest.

PS And subject about coat color have nothing to do with openings post just saying.

Blackmalinois, as I had mentioned from my first post, and time and again thereafter, I have no intentions of running in circles with a subject that is off topic by miles.

Yet, someone continues to mention my name compelling me to revert.

Anyways, I honor your concern as the OP of this thread, and henceforth will refrain from commenting even if someone mentions my name.

Or, maybe I'll ask you before answering.

Show me your own video muzzle testing a new dog. Include all that you have asked. Much important information can be gained by testing. Also if this makes you squeamish be careful who you ask to test your dog. These dogs are charged with saving the lives their handlers or possibly a police officer or a citizen. Testing in general and not specific to this dog is designed to cut through any build up of training. Thus green is good but if a trained dog needs testing the prior training would not help them pass selection. These are not pets. I think that the worst that can happen to an individual is to discover his buddy is not really with him when it counts. You can sport train and build dogs all you want. I want to know what's in the dogs heart. This was for information purposes. Sport people think in terms of the dog always winning which makes sense if you are trialing dogs. In my world the dog needs to know that he can be hurt and conditioned to respond appropriately when sh. T hits the fan. I guess my question for the respondents is what experience do you have with service dogs? I would caution you to be careful who you ask to test your dog. I have yet to see a good trainer not give a police dog a bad experience on purpose at some point. And I do mean in training. The dog must always win only holds true in the sport world. The sport dog is ill prepared.not ant less of a dog necessarily but I'll prepared.
