Experiences with Adler Stein kennels and Sportwaffen K9? - Page 1

Hi All,

I will be in the market for a pup in the next few months and I like what I am seeing from these two kennels. Does anyone have any personal experince with these two breeders and their dogs? Please feel free to PM.

I have known the owner of Adler Stein for 14 or 15 years. Also have known a number of her dogs. Won't find many people with more knowledge and understanding of the breed than Anne. I have talked to the owner of Sportwaffen a few times and seen a few of Nate's dogs. I don't think you can go wrong with either one so it will have more to do with what you are looking for in a dog. Personally I would call and talk to them both and go from there.

I have never dealt with either kennel directly for a dog i've personally owned, but I would definitely consider a dog from either if I was looking.

I know Nate and would not hesitate to buy a pup from him. Actually when I was looking for a pup a couple of months ago I checked with him to see if he had any puppies available but he did not. He has done 2 helper seminars for my club and we will have him do another when we need it. I saw 2 of his pups working at our last helperseminar (with 2 new handlers) and was very impressed with both pups.

Thank you 3 who have replied. I'm still looking around, but these two have peaked my interest and since I live in Louisiana, I will be shipping and wouldnt be meeting either breeder in person so this info is very helpful. 

I'm located in Indianapolis and have heard some very good things about Sportwaffen. Nate Harves runs a local club. That's a lot of dog though! I'd defintely consider him for a pup if I was in the market.

Both people are excellent.   We have seen dogs from both breeders and highly recommend both.
