I am sorry to report that we had the little pup Euthanized this morning, It was determined that a muscle in her heart had not completely developed and though it was not a murmor that muscle was not functioning on all cyllinders if you will. It was very sad to let her go, But she is now at peace and her quality of life would have never improved. We feel we made the only choice we could to be right by her. Thanks to everyone who responded with your ideas/suggestions/experiences, You'll never know how much I appreciated that from all of you !! Thanks again from all of us at the shelter.

I am so so sorry for your loss. Extra hugs and kisses to all our doggie friends tonight in memory of this wee one that fought hard.

Sorry for you Echo, as you said she is at peace now, but for all of you who loved her the memory lingers. So sad :(

Oh thats so sad :( , but like you said she is at peace now.. She was a fighter to have lived that long, but that was probably the best thing you could have done for her. :(

I am very sorry to hear that. I had hoped it was something minor. You did the right thing, and she is very happy and healthy now-- Theresa

I think it is safe to say, that we all feel your pain and sorrow. When I have lost a pup or dog, that I wish I could have had more time with, I try to remember that it is better that I outlived them. Remeber, who knows what we are missing by being here???? Our babies are in a better place. I am truly sorry for your loss, but better to have known this pup, than to never have known. God bless this pup and you and yours,

Thanks you guys, Yes today was a hard day and I'm sure there will be some lonely days ahead, As she spent all of her days and nights too with us, At the shelter she was the queen of the office, here at home, she layed sleeping on Anyones chest who would have her, and always preffered to sleep on the bed, She would choose and mostly she chose my daughter's bed, But now and then she would sleep in mine. She'll be missed but She was loved, and we could not allow such a precious baby to suffer. Thank You all so much for your thoughts, brought me to tears all over again, which is a good thing, Healing, I know. Thanks you guys much appreciated.
