Would like to hear opinions on my Mal. He's a AKC reg. 7 month old male (intact). Weighs about 55lbs and growing!

My major concern - based on personal experience would be temperament.  Of course the Windrush bitch is not ttled.  Please keep a close eye on your male, while I know you love him but the Windrush bitch I had bit me several times including one last time when I was seriously injured and she was PTS.  I understand from others that this is not uncommon.

Here is the pedigree http://www.windrushrk.net/shavit.xps

Your dog is from showlines. You have to go back to the 3rd generation to find working. You need to ask showline malinois folks if you want to show him. The folks that frequent this forum are working and pet folks. Working folks generally aren't that picky about looks, although most have their personal preferences. Working folks care about working ability and structural soundness to do the work. Pet people like looks, but don't have to compete in the show ring. Everyone cares about temperament and has their own set of requirements.

I'm a working person. So for me, yea that's a malinois. Are you doing any work with him or is he just a pet? Post a video if you like.

I do obedience work with him. Plan to do AKC obedience trials starting in Feb.
He is also my service dog. I take him in stores already and he works perfectly.
His temperament is excellent. He's very laid back and calm.

Re: asomich

That pedigree isn't for my dog's mother Oola. That is for another dog. Koral is my dog's sire, not his mother's sire. Oola's pedigree isn't online but I have a 5 gen. from AKC.

It would be good if you put his pedigree on this website. It is very easy to do. All you have to do is add his dam.

That is great that you are doing AKC obedience.

I am doing agility with my female, along with Mondio Ring. I had retired her dam to a pet home and she was just returned after 5 months. I am looking at just doing the Mondio obedience title with her. I was also looking at AKC Rally ob. Starting this year AKC will have Rally along with tradional ob at nationals. Rally is basically just heelwork under a time constraint on a different course for each trial, although they have added a few new items.  I am interested in doing nosework, but just don't have the time.

I added your boy to PDB. You can update his details.

I also added Oola to PDB. I do not know her parents. You can update her too. I got her picture from the Windrush website.

Here is Koral on Paw Village http://pawvillage.com/pedigree/dynprofile.asp?ID=4VDT2J6I8B
Here is his breeder's website
I put his picture on PDB.http://www.vitris-bohemia.at/litters_en/kvrh.html

So you are all set.

Thank you!!  I will add his info today! Sounds like you have some great things going on with your dog! Right now I'm just focusing on obedience. I might branch out once we accomplish a title.
