I have a beautiful BM male puppy (9 weeks old), and have been waiting for this guy for a long time. My work schedule messed everything up for my BM, now that I was confortable to have a one. The past 2 weeks have been going well until this.
Ads have been placed for in various websites but everyone that has come by doesn't seem right for him. His happiness is very important to me and I want him to be in good hands. I feel that this forum is the only place I can find some responsible.
Please contact me if if you know anyone around the NYC area that wants and knows how to deal with a BM. I am not willing to ship him. I will personally deliver him or any one can pick him up.
The price on the ads was $900 but someone from this forum can get him for less, as long as the puppy finds a real home.
Contact me if you are interested, know someone worthwhile, or if you want information about the puppy.
Thank you,
Rudi

Did you contact the breeder?

by Thejust22 on 24 June 2012 - 23:06
No.
Should I do that?

Absolutely contact the breeder! Many times they will take their puppies/dogs back or at minimum help you place them in a suitable home!

To Beth,
I have placed him as my logo image. I was going to put more pictures but don't know how to. Anyone can email if they want to see more pictures.
He is AKC registered. The vet says that he is in great condition. The shots are fully paid for and the second round of them is tomorrow.
He has to main qualities that I like: eager to please and some attitude. The training is going well so far. He uses the bathroom out side. The basic commands are almost there.
I don't know if this enough information so just let me know

Rudi,
No word on whether you have contacted the breeder. Breeding is hard work and alot of planning, time, energy, hope, pride is put into each pup. You owe it to the breeder. You have not given him or her a chance. They can't help you if they don't know.
Shit happens in life. At least you haven't lost your job. You can still afford to feed and vet the pup. And you're continuing his training. You're doing a great job. So swallow your pride, do what is best, and email the breeder.
When the time is right you can get another pup.
Now if the breeder does not want to help, then let this board know. Take some videos of your puppy doing obedience, playing ball, playing tug, walking on the street, with people and around other dogs. Post it here and on facebook. Post his pedigree here too.
Also, it is very common to fly these dogs. Don't get so stuck on not flying. Buy a ticket online, or have the buyer do it. Take the pup to the vet for a certificate. Get a petmate kennel off of craiglist and put some shredded newspaper in it. Drop the pup off at the airport. Call the buyer and let them know. And you can track the pup's trip online. (Note - I have summarized the process, you will need to follow the airline's details.) Since you have lowered your price, then it makes it even more affordable for a buyer to fly the little tyke.
Good luck.
Annamarie

I have contacted the breeder today and ask for his advice and help. Waiting for a response for now.
To Annamarie,
"When time is right you can get another pup" - I will wait until I retire so this doesn't happen again :)
I have some videos of him and I will put them on youtube so people can see. I can't have him around other animals because he still has his last round of shots to do. Where can I post videos here? In my profile ? Sorry I am new here
I will think about shipping but in reality I would rather drive him, even 6 hours from where I live.
We will see.
