You mention 4-4 on Klemm, but what about the In-breeding of 2-2?
I know nothing about Mali pedigrees but no matter what breed, a 2-2 is In-breeding.  There are many great dogs out there, why breed so closely?

The breeder is trying to reproduce Gildo Vom Roten Sturm and set his type in this litter.  He definitely has a goal in mind for his breeding program.  Half sibling breeding is not uncommon with Mals.  You will have to look at Gildo to see who he favors.  If you are looking for Klemm, he is probably too far back.  But if you really like Gildo, it would be a good breeding for you.

Knowing the von Roten Sturm dogs as well as I do I like this breeding and would love to know if you do it, I would be very interested in a puppy.  I have Quando von Roten Sturm who is one of the best dogs I have ever owned.   He is a Anja son, an incredible protection dog, good with people when properly introduced and very healthy.

Thanks Judy. I got a reply from Hardy(Roten Sturn). Since I try to ask the possible outcome of this combo. And I will quote what exactly he told me in his email reply about Gildo and his littermates.

"produced a lot of very sharp males and females with different breeding partners. Gildo’s sisters Gina and GiGi, are very strong, civil and sharp, but also very stubborn; a bad combination when it comes to training. It is however a plus, if you are looking to get a Police K-9 Patrol dog or Prison dog where this temperament is wanted."

And when I ask about his idea on the said planned breeding..

"Gildo comes out of very strong and driven blood lines. He is very strong and also stubborn. The linebreeding is bit “crazy”, I find."

Ron,

I've known Hardy for 12 years on and off as I moved around.  He is the one who located and recommended a dog for me, who later became my Police Service Dog.
Anyway, take that last recommended sentence as a sign (as I originally said in my 1st post) to not do this close in-breeding.

Good luck and I'm glad you reached out to the source (Hardy) to locate accurate information,

Brandi

Brandi,

Yeah. I know asking the breeder(Hardy) is the best way to get correct information. I guess I need to think over again about this breeding.
