Well I'm pretty new to this breed, I understand they are a working dog and need firm leadership but I have a few questions.
She is just 2 months old, pound said she is mixed breed but they cant tell fully because she was abandoned.  They do think she has Lab GSD and Pit in there, rather confused she looks mostly like a Mal to me,  took her to the vet she was fine.  She doesnt show much aggression at all but it seems like she doesnt want to listen? or is it just because Im worried about it too much and shes just a puppy I shouldnt expect so much from her?  I am registering us for Obidience classes ASAP(probably this sunday).
She seems to love to chew on her leash sometimes, I correct her with a FIRM NO but at times she goes ahead and does the whole Tug Of War thing.  To me she is trying to say its allowed and I can do what I want right? am I correct here?  What sort of way should I correct that behavior?  I dont want to be too aggressive but at the same time I want to make sure Im correcting her properly to let her know this is not okay.
Also she doesnt seem too energetic.  She'll play here and there but most of the time she just chooses to lay down in the grass =/ I thought these dogs dont stop?
For the most part I feel confident just need a few tips on how to be a better leader for this type of dog what sort of games should we try to play?
I tried playing fetch with her it'll last a few rounds then she just doesnt attempt to go for the ball and just lays down.  Does this mean she is tired? not interested?

Yikes! You have adopted an infant - 2 month old puppy. Of course, she'll be tired after chasing the ball for a "few rounds". The leash tugging is not agressive behaviour - she is being a baby/playing. She has to grow up a little before you become heavy-handed. I also don't think you will be able to register her for obedience classes yet - too young, & the good classes insist that she is at least 2 weeks past her 2nd booster shot, before allowing her entrance. By 4 months, you can become the powerful leader, for now, let her get to know you & trust that you will not hurt her - especially after coming from the pound.

Just FYI.....that last post was not from Pinecrest Pomeranians - but rather from my employee who breeds working dogs.

One key to training a great dog is positive reinforcement. NEVER raise your hand or your voice to your dog. There are better far less intimidating ways to correct your dog. I just got a four month old Malinois puppy that is teething and she bites her leash, me and everything else that moves or looks like it needs bitten to her. This isn't my first Belgian so this isn't new to me. Establish a good bond with your dog then start with the firm no thing or the word out works well for biting. A trick I know is to put just a touch of hot sauce on your leash it works the same way putting small mouse traps in your trash can work to stop the dog from digging in the trash. Also buy some chew toys you will be needing them in about 2 months when yours starts teething. But right now be patient take your time the dog needs to know and respect you before they will listen to you to any great extent.
