breed to him or A I with semen.
The one thing I don't understand is why some of the
top kennels in Germany have by passed this dog
and use other studs. One reason may be hips and Elbows,
the other is they already have enough G'Vitou or Klem.
The thing is this, when this dog is no longer available,
or his semen. The great DMC would have lost perhaps
it's greatest stud of all time. My question is do you think
this dog is that much of a big deal for the breed?
I think he is a big deal and would like to see more USA
breeders use him as a stud.

This is Da'Eder

What makes you believe that he may be one of the greatest studs of all time? His track record so far says otherwise.

Let me get the biggest reasons you would breed to this dog,
Bendix.....10 V scores 5 championships, he is a Klem son, his scores
on field were SG but always consistent. The dogs he has produced are
almost all very high score dogs on the field.
His mother to is an outstanding bitch and has produced very well.
These are the things that I see as a breeder. And I have learned over the years
to put my money on the dogs that produce the winners, not the winners themselves.
But that is not to say that some winners turn out to be the best producers. I think in
Da'Eder's case, he has everything you would want in your sires bloodline, plus you
have Bendix staring you in the face. There are other great dogs out of him as well.
My question is, allot of the really well known kennels in Germany have past him by,
it might be they feel their are others out there with better results. So I am asking
why do you think that is?

known kennels that used him maybe one time. It has me puzzled,
I think Alderauge plans some up coming breeding's. They have used
him in the past. More and more you see top kennels using their own studs.
But I see this dog as a part of the DMC and a very good representation of what
they breed for. They may feel that he has been bred enough, and there is no problem
in getting a good son, which I think they are making a mistake. I don't think he has been
bred to what I would call allot of very good bitches. What he has been bred to has done well,
but I still think his potential is much higher.

And I think that this is the reason Bendex is good. Has Da'Eder produced anything else that is even close to Bendex?
I''m not saying that he is not a good dog or does not produce good pups, I just don't think that he is even close to being one of the greatest of all time.

Chris,
Brandy, Bendix sister is a 291 V IPO dog. But I think
you make a good point. I see lots of SG dogs off of Da'Eder,
and he has been bred allot. But some thing tells me that
there is a really good cross out there for Da'Eder that has
not been tried.
The Alderauge kennel has gone back to using him, so I
think they see him as a very good prospect. I personally
would use him over most DMC sires, but I would breed
him to hardcore NVBK bitches.

Da'Eder is a very good dog. A good friend has worked him and really liked him and Robert is a very dedicated trainer. I saw a DMC list of Progengy by studs and Da'Eder has sired something like 160 puppies. I believe he had three or four progeny in the 2009 FMBB. I would like to see more dog off him in the US.
Not to change the subject...but a couple of other studs that I always liked. I saw their progeny list.
Butsch von der Bosen Nachbarschaft has 114 progeny. He is the same age as Da'Eder. Barry (Butsch) littermate had more breeding early on until his passing. I was always told Butsch was not bred as much early on due to politcs another was his tail.
Alf vom Nordhang Der Eifel he was 177 progeny. Not bad for a dog that is only a Sch1.
Good topic.

Mario
