Yes he just got the dog a few months ago. The dog has had no training between the tine he earned schIII at two years old and the time he was sold. This dog wont be trialing but we still will train him because he thrives from the work and he is teaching his handler a lot.

Hi:  just was curious if you are in So. Calif.  I saw this dog work shortly after he came from Germany, really liked him and still do.  We were at a training field in Ramona with Chris Taylor.  I am sure this is the same Veit.  Of course can be sold over and over, but looks like the same owner that had him then last summer I believe.  He's a nice boy.; ) Nice pedigree also.  Nan

David,

Are you sure you want this dog more serious? You're having trouble handling him now ;-)
Glad to see you around and posting videos. Nice strong dog but I'm not sure I'd put a lot of credence in a
SchH III earned in Germany at two years old.. just sayin

Haha Veit wouldn't out three months ago when I started working him. He is more serious and controlled now than he has been since he arrived stateside. It's his handler's first schutzhund dog and I don't put a lot of pressure on new handlers. He learns more and more every week while having fun and gaining confidence in his dog and his handling. In time we will polish it a little more.

I'm not taking credit for the dog, jsut sharing training videos. I'm not a GSD guy but this is one of the nicest that I've had the pleasure to work. This is also an excellent dog to help me work on my trial helper skills.

I had a decoy I was working with a few years ago. A lady gave him a showline GSD male that came from Germany with a SchH II. She paid $20K for him as a PP dog and then couldn't control him. I gave him a bite once on a trial sleeve and couldn't slip the sleeve. The decoy had to choke him off. Hardest biting dog I've ever seen. He also looked like he'd never seen a blind or an A-frame. Kind of strange for a SchH II ;-)
Looking forward to more Veit videos and to follow his progress.
