I know that there isn't a correct answer here, I am just curious to hear what some of you might view as the pros and cons. if there are any, to each. Thanks.

Is this a bad question? Lot's of looks, but no response.

The question should be for my needs what is better a male or a female.  Then you may recieve some responses. List your needs and what exactly you are looking for in the dog. Most serious working Mal owners would tell you to look for a nice female of pet quality out of working bloodlines due to the fact that they seem to be healthier and more stable dogs.

I myself prefer female and not for any other reason other than females don't pee all over, or have their winkies sticking out and do yucky male behaviours. Males are really good if you can handle all of that they are generally sweeter tempered (but not always). They can be a little goofier (not always). I prefer female horses and cats to so I guess I am not the right person to be answering this question. lol

I have horses, and I perfer a mare. But dogs are different animals. By the
fact that you need to ask , I would like to see you start with two females.
And I will give you my reasons. They will play with each other and teach you
the things you need to know. But pick two out of the same litter that get
along with each other. The Malinois is like no other in it's performance
and it's duty. But you must love them. They will return the favor. This
is an incredable breed as you will find out. So have fun and feel the
Rush!!!!!!!. Oh and buy rubber frizbee, Kong, and a tennis ball slingsot.  JLP
