What are the basic lines of Malinois out there? I've heard the term NVBK, French, Dutch lines, etc, and seem to notice a difference in size or manner of working with some dogs.
Who breeds calmer dogs here in North America?

If you're looking for calmer mals, the sport lines aren't what you're looking for. Especially not the NVBK lines, the ones available here, which I use in our breeding program and training in detection and protection. They have very high civil and prey. But it depends on the particular dogs, too. :) Calmer mals would probably be those not used for the usual work mals get into. Calmer mals are probably the newer mal lines bred for pet by backyard pet breeders.
