will a bitch continue to produce healthy pups on her 5th pregnancy even when she is already 7 years old if she averaged 12 puppies per litter previously? I am just curious. thanks

It will depend on her health--is she in good condition? Her condition and overall health matter more than her age or how many litters she's had. She needs to be in good health and weight and have good muscle tone, too--good nutrition and living conditions make a big difference there.
An older female can be more likely to experience uterine inertia and start losing pups during labor. Sometimes a dam will start getting uterine cysts or adhesions--those can reduce the number of pups conceived too.

I've heard that after 6 years its best to plan c-section, its safer.

thank you very much I appreciate all the inputs. No I don't have a breeding dog, just curious and learning. I also heard that a 10 year old bitch can still get pregnant, or maybe older than that.

Yes a bitch at 10 years old can get pregnant but, it's like 80 years old woman having a baby.
Whoever is breeding dogs at this age is an I****T or a Puppy Mill!!!!!!!!!!!!
