Rudi,
Don't wait for shots to socialize.  This is a breed that MUST be socialized within the first 16 weeks.  I don't take my pups to places like Petsmart (especially ones with vet clinics) or dogparks.  But I set up play dates with my friends dogs - ones that are healthy and have good temperaments.  I make it easy for them by inviting them to my place and serving good food and wine.

It's funny that you mentioned retirement.  Most of the working dog sport people are empty nesters, retired, single, married but no kids, etc.  Mals are like having kids - take lots of time and energy.  Training requires money and traveling too.  And you have to dog proof your house and section off parts of your house.  You also usually have a designated dog car.  You have designated trashed clothes to wear around puppies, etc.

You could post links to his pedigree and videos on this thread.  You can put pictures on his pedigree on this website.  You could also place an ad under puppy classifieds on this website.  Pictures on facebook with youtube links.  This would also help the breeder sell the pup too.   This pup is still young enough for a sport person to purchase him.

Some newspapers use a free website www.kaango.com for classifieds.  You could use www.craigslist.com but it has to be worded as an adoption and you can charge an adoption or rehoming fee.  How about the bulletin board at your vet's office, your church, etc.  Just make sure the buyer knows what they're getting into.  But let's hope the breeder will take the pup back first.  Good luck.

Annamarie
