Hi, I was wondering what is a time frame for training a dog for ipo1 with a trainer. we are thinking about sending a female we have out to a trainer for ipo work. thanks what is the normal time frame

Depends on the dog, the trainer, and the club...
That said a 15 months + old dog, well socialized, combined with good drives and temperament, should title within 3 - 6 months, Ad, BH, and breed survey included. Before you are going to send your dog anywhere, please test your dog with a 6 mm pistol shot.
I don´t know where you are located, but instead of "sending out to a trainer" I´d try to find a club by myself. For every dog being "sent out" for training is a lot of stress, and for you and your dog it´s way better to learn together...
