JA  stands!!  Both proposed amendments failed.

And in other breaking news, water is wet.

Seriously, though, is this coming as a surprise to anyone?  I do appreciate your relaying the info, Mystere, so not mocking you for doing so. Just wonder if anyone really, REALLY thought it was going to go any other way?

Actually, I expected the Phillips proposal to pass.  Wink Smile

Ah, I see....so perhaps a sea change is slowly coming.  Truly do think it's foolish for any organization to refuse somebody's money just because they also give money to another organization with which it shares some similarities.  I can see where there can be a concern about it when it comes to officers, board members, etc., but for the general rank and file member, it's just silly.

I suppose we are now in for months and months more of the
same grumbles as we heard prior to this last vote ?  Sleepy

I think it's time to move on. Just let the JA sit in the obscure corner that it currently resides in and let it be the red headed step child and pretend it doesn't exist. In reality it doesn't. Anyone can do whatever they want to do. It only limits dual membership. If USCA doesn't need the money, it's OK. In the last Schutzhund USA issue there were 176 new members listed. That's a healthy number. The JA is not that big a deal, it's just awkward.

Moving on,,,, I noticed in the last issue of Schutzhund USA,,,,shouldn't they change the name to IPO USCA? (Something for the next meeting maybe).

Anyway, the NBW has been tasked to develop a 5 and 10 year program to improve the breed. This can be a big change. Look for another thread about improving the breed on PDB to contribute to.

Moving on is a great Idea and long overdue.  So, finally,  we can put the whining to rest.
